Although a group of individuals vouches for in-person classroom learning as the most effective method, others vote for digital learning. Both views have compelling arguments, yet I strongly assert that the traditional teaching methods are far superior to the contemporary mode of learning through digital devices.
On one hand, advocates of in-person classroom interaction posit that it provides the physical presence of an educator, fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes active participation and engagement. To brief, classroom discussions and group activities encourage critical thinking and the exchange of ideas. In a literature class, for instance, students can engage in insightful discussions about a novel’s themes and interpretations, enhancing their analytical skills.
On the other hand, proponents of online learning contend that it offers flexibility in terms of scheduling and location. Elaborating on this, flexibility allows learners to access educational resources at their convenience which can further enable them to learn at their own pace, review materials as needed, and tailor learning experience to suit their specific needs. For example, working professionals pursuing a master’s degree can study during evenings or weekends while accessing course materials and lectures at their convenience.
In my opinion, face-to-face learning is the most effective way as the immediacy of direct communication with teachers allows for personalized guidance and tailored instructions. It greatly enhances the learning experience while developing interpersonal skills, such as empathy and understanding.
In conclusion, despite the benefits catered by digital classes, I firmly accord that the conventional way of delivering knowledge is better suited for learning as it not only fosters critical thinking but also develops soft skills.
